We are currently seeking a permanent full-time Science Teacher to teach Junior Science and Biology, Chemistry, and/or Physics up to HSC level.

We look for vibrant, dedicated and capable staff who have initiative, empathy, a good sense of humour and a professional behaviour to help the School achieve its objectives.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>We are currently seeking a permanent full-time Science Teacher to teach Junior Science and Biology, Chemistry, and/or Physics up to HSC level.&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>What You Will Do&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>Write, implement and evaluate teaching programs and Dalton assignments&nbsp;</li> <li>Evaluate teaching programs in relation to student progress&nbsp;</li> <li>Develop effective examination, testing and reporting procedures&nbsp;</li> <li>Use and develop innovative curriculum on the school Learning Management System&nbsp;</li> <li>Actively participate in the planning of the curriculum, writing of programs and scope and sequences, writing of resources&nbsp;</li> <li>Use formative and summative assessment to determine student progress&nbsp;</li> <li>Create a stimulating classroom environment where students can flourish&nbsp;</li> <li>Teach within the Dalton Principles, including Responsibility, Independence, Collaboration and Reflection.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>What You Will Bring&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>A tertiary major in preferably two Science disciplines and accreditation with NESA&nbsp;</li> <li>Proven ability to teach and lead Stage 6 Biology, Chemistry and/or Physics&nbsp;</li> <li>Keen interest and strong experience in teaching STEM&nbsp;</li> <li>Excellent attention to detail, and ability to work to a high standard&nbsp;</li> <li>Strong written and verbal communication skills&nbsp;</li> <li>Good grooming and personal presentation&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Ability to follow instructions, work unsupervised and be a cooperative team member&nbsp;</li> <li>Understanding of and commitment to WHS legislation and risk management principles&nbsp;</li> <li>A valid Working with Children Clearance (WWCC) and First Aid certificate (or willingness to obtain).&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>The successful applicant will enjoy a vibrant and interesting work environment and being part of a team of talented people.&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Please <strong>apply via SEEK </strong>with your cover letter and resume by <strong>11.59pm on Sunday 20 July. </strong>In your application, please include your WWCC; First Aid and CPR details (if you have these); as well as the names and contact details of two referees.&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>We are keen to fill this role immediately and will reach out to candidates of interest as we receive their applications.
