St Vincent's College is seeking a highly motivated Strategic Manager to oversee the communication and brand functions of the College.

<p><strong>STRATEGIC COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER</strong></p> <p><strong>Reports To:</strong> The Principal</p> <p><strong>Employment Type:</strong> Full-Time onsite (occasional after-hours/weekend work)</p> <p><strong>Position Overview&nbsp;</strong></p> <p>The Strategic Communications Manager is responsible for overseeing the communication and brand functions of St Vincent's College. This role involves strategic planning for both internal and external communications, branding, digital content development and managing a comprehensive calendar of activities that align with the school's mission and vision.&nbsp;</p> <p>This is a strategic role and is also hands-on in a small team. The successful candidate will be leading key projects and supporting the College across several areas related to communications, community and brand.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p> <p><strong>Strategic Communications Planning:</strong></p> <p>o&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Develop and implement an overarching strategic communications plan to sit within the overarching Advancement plan, that aligns with the College's mission, vision and strategic objectives.</p> <p>o&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Identify key messages and communication strategies for various stakeholders, including students, parents, alumni, donors and the broader community.</p> <p>o&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Foster a strong brand identity that reflects the values and aspirations of St Vincent's College.</p> <p><strong>Internal Communications:</strong></p> <p>o&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Streamline communications throughout the College.</p> <p>o&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Establish and maintain effective internal communication channels to keep staff informed of important updates, initiatives and achievements.</p> <p>o&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Collaborate with various departments to ensure consistent messaging and engagement across the College community both internally and externally.</p> <p>o&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Develop communication materials, such as newsletters, bulletins and announcements, to enhance community engagement.</p> <p><strong>External Communications:</strong></p> <p>o&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Oversee the development and execution of external communication strategies, including press releases, media relations, and public announcements.</p> <p>o&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Build and maintain relationships with key external stakeholders, including media, community organisations and partners, to enhance the College's visibility and reputation.</p> <p>o&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Implement strategies to manage the College's online presence and engage with the community through various digital platforms.</p> <p><strong>Digital Content Development:</strong></p> <p>o&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Lead the creation and management of digital content across the College's website, social media channels, and other digital platforms.</p> <p>o&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Collaborate with staff to produce engaging multimedia content, including videos, graphics and articles that highlight school events, achievements, and initiatives.</p> <p>o&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Utilize data analytics to assess the effectiveness of digital campaigns and adjust strategies based on insights and trends.</p> <p><strong>Calendar Management:</strong></p> <p>o&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Work with the Alumni, Events and Community Manager to proactively build and promote an annual College calendar of community events, communications and marketing activities.</p> <p>o&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Coordinate with various departments to ensure alignment and timely execution of communication activities.</p> <p><strong>Resource Management:</strong></p> <p>o&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Anticipate required resources for communication activities and manage operations within budget constraints.</p> <p>o&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Monitor the quality of deliverables to ensure effective use of resources and timely delivery.</p> <p><strong>Brand Advocacy:</strong></p> <p>o&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Champion the importance of the St Vincent's brand and effective communication within the School community.</p> <p>o&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Ensure that all communications reflect the values and vision of St Vincent's College.</p> <p><strong>Selection Criteria:</strong></p> <p>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; A minimum of five years' experience in a senior communications, marketing, or public relations role.</p> <p>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Tertiary qualifications in communications, marketing, PR, corporate affairs, or a related field.</p> <p>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Experience working in an independent school or university desirable but not essential. Corporate communications management experience is highly regarded.</p> <p>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Demonstrated ability to develop and manage relationships with internal and external clients and deliver effective communication outcomes.</p> <p>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Exceptional interpersonal skills that enable you to engage collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, delivering high-quality support and service.</p> <p>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Experience in planning and executing strategic communications and digital marketing campaigns.</p> <p>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Strong budget management skills and experience in resource allocation.</p> <p>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Excellent oral and written communication skills.</p> <p>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; High-level organisational and time management skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.</p> <p>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; A committed customer service-oriented mindset.</p> <p>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, with a clear understanding of child safety standards.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><i>St Vincent’s College is committed to the safety of young people.
