Mary MacKillop Catholic College is looking for a Library Assistant to be responsible for facilitating access to information and resources to support teaching and learning, as well as maintaining effective and efficient organisation of resources and equipment. This is a temporary part-time position offering 39 hours per fortnight, Monday to Wednesday from 8:15am until 3:15pm.<br><br><strong>Why Work for Sydney Catholic Schools</strong><br><br>

<p><strong>About You</strong><br><br><strong>Mary MacKillop Catholic College Wakeley</strong> is seeking an enthusiastic and suitably qualified <strong>Library Assistant</strong> to work in our Library. With a keen interest in literature, organising reading materials and helping others, the preferred candidate will deliver effective and collaborative information and research services to enhance learning outcomes for students.<br><br>
To be successful for this role, you must demonstrate:</p>
<ul>
<li>a commitment to the mission of Catholic Education</li>
<li>the ability to use the library and information systems, databases and other technology to support staff and students</li>
<li>the ability to process book loans and returns</li>
<li>the ability to use Oliver or be willing to learn</li>
<li>the ability to undertake end of year stock take of the library collection</li>
<li>capability to select resources for research lessons</li>
<li>library supervision skills</li>
<li>the ability to schedule library lessons</li>
<li>capability to undertake after school supervisions</li>
<li>knowledge of ClickView video system.</li>

<p><strong>Selection Criteria</strong><br><br>
Along with the skills listed above, all applications must address the following selection criteria:</p>
<ul>
<li>diploma of Library and Information Services, or Certificate IV in Library and Information Services</li>
<li>demonstrated relevant experience in a school or community library</li>
<li>demonstrated library cataloguing skills and knowledge of current library technological practices.</li>
