<p><strong>Teacher Role Requirements</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Recognised teacher education qualifications and NESA accreditation to teach in NSW schools.</li>
<li>Ability and qualifications to teach Mathematics. </li>
</ul>
<p>At Chevalier College, teachers strategically work in teams to collaboratively plan, prepare, teach, assess and evaluate student learning. As such, they are required to:</p>
<ul>
<li>support and assist the mission of Catholic education in the way of Jules Chevalier and the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart (MSC)</li>
<li>see themselves as learners and be committed to ongoing professional learning</li>
<li>work collaboratively with other teachers to design learning experiences where students exercise choice to demonstrate knowledge and understanding </li>
<li>enhance social skills and nurture the growth of enterprise skills including learner agency, self-regulated learning, critical thinking, creativity, communication and collaboration for each student</li>
<li>use summative data and formative data, including observations, annotations and work samples, to inform ‘next steps’ for key learning outcomes</li>
<li>demonstrate deep understanding of curriculum which informs subject disciplinary knowledge</li>
<li>use digital technology as an enabler and accelerator for student and teacher learning</li>
<li>regularly provide students with feedback as part of the teaching and learning cycle</li>
<li>be open to growth and development through professional learning experiences which include classroom observations, practice analysis conversations and input from Leaders of Learning</li>
<li>know and apply New South Wales Education Standards Authority (NESA) guidelines.</li>

<p><strong>Other</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Full-time, temporary position for Terms 3 and 4 2025, commencing July 2025. </li>
<li>Salary and conditions will be as per the NSW Catholic Independent Schools (Teachers – Model B) Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2023.</li>
<li>The preferred applicant is required to undertake extracurricular responsibilities as part of the employment arrangements at the College.</li>
<li>This is a child-related position. Preferred candidates are required to possess a valid a Working With Children Check and will be subject to identification verification.</li>
