Mater Dei Primary School in Lake Albert, Wagga Wagga are seeking a Permanent Part-time Maintenance/Groundsperson to join their team to commencing as soon as possible.

<p><strong>Your New Role</strong></p>
<p>The Maintenance/Groundsperson Staff member in ensures the Mater Dei Primary School Facilities remain safe, functional, and well-maintained for students, staff, and visitors. This role assists in implementing a proactive preventative maintenance program, addressing operational and safety concerns efficiently, and contributing to the overall upkeep and improvement of the school’s facilities.</p>

<p><strong>Essential Criteria</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Proven experience in general maintenance and repair work; experience within an educational or large-campus setting is highly desirable </li>
<li>Ability to plan, prioritise, and manage maintenance tasks efficiently to ensure timely job completion </li>
<li>Experience in grounds and garden maintenance is advantageous </li>
<li>Sound knowledge of building codes, regulations, and compliance requirements </li>
<li>Familiarity with risk management strategies and effective resource management </li>
<li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively across a range of stakeholder groups </li>
<li>Highly organised, with strong time management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously </li>
<li>Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive approach to maintenance challenges </li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment </li>
<li>Capable of exercising initiative, sound judgement, and discretion, particularly under pressure </li>
<li>Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times </li>
<li>Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and operational needs </li>
<li>A trade qualification (e.g., carpenter, electrician, or similar) is highly regarded </li>
<li>Accreditation for Support Staff in a Catholic School (Category A, <a href="https://docs.google.com/document/d/1aCbIP5U7RUVpmXSRFNJjPniiJAxX9Kc7W7RNmEFGV8s/edit?usp=sharing" rel="nofollow"><u>Accreditation to Work Teach and Lead in Systemic Catholic Schools,</u></a> Catholic Education Diocese of Wagga Wagga) or willing to achieve.</li>
<li>Current Driver’s License </li>
<li>NSW Working with Children Check </li>
<li>Successful candidate to undergo a National Criminal History Check and Functional Assessment</li>
