Edmund Rice College is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and highly motivated Director of Pastoral Care & Wellbeing to join the College Leadership Team.

Strongly inclusive, the College prides itself on its diversity as it welcomes students from all backgrounds and cultures.</p> <p>For further information about Edmund Rice College, please visit our website - <a href="https://www.edmundricecollege.nsw.edu.au" rel="nofollow">www.edmundricecollege.nsw.edu.au</a>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong><u>The Role</u></strong></p> <p>Edmund Rice College is seeking to appoint a permanent full-time suitably qualified and highly experienced Director of Pastoral Care &amp; Wellbeing to join the College Leadership Team (CLT) in 2026, or by negotiation.</p> <p>Reporting to the Deputy Principal, the Director of Pastoral Care &amp; Wellbeing leads the College’s approach to student wellbeing and has overall coordination of the pastoral care of students. The Director of Pastoral Care &amp; Wellbeing develops, implements and monitors pastoral care policies and programs in collaboration with key stakeholders, while promoting a positive and supportive learning environment within the College.&nbsp;</p> <p>This role will work collaboratively and support a range of internal and external stakeholders within the Edmund Rice College community, ensuring careful stewardship of the College’s resources.</p> <p>This position requires flexibility in working hours and will require work outside of school hours to ensure the effective operation of the College.</p> <p><strong><u>About You</u></strong></p> <p>The successful candidate will be a highly experienced operator in leading pastoral care and wellbeing practices within a secondary school environment.</p> <p>To be considered for this position, you must be a highly dedicated professional who meets the following criteria:</p> <ul> <li>An education degree from an approved and recognised tertiary institution</li> <li>Post-graduate qualifications in a curriculum area, educational leadership or student wellbeing is desirable</li> <li>Demonstrated experience of leading pastoral care and wellbeing practices</li> <li>Demonstrated experience in academic care associated with boy's education, strengthening student wellbeing and diverse learning needs</li> <li>Be accredited with the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)</li> <li>Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills</li> <li>Proven organisational skills, including multi-tasking and meeting deadlines</li> <li>Strong attention to detail and record keeping</li> <li>Ability to demonstrate flexibility, whilst supporting multiple stakeholders</li> <li>High ethical standards, confidentiality and integrity</li> <li>Commitment to the Edmund Rice values and ethos of the College</li> <li>Willingness to support the Catholic ethos and learning culture of the College</li> <li>Possess a valid Working with Children Check (WWCC)</li> <li>A commitment to the child safeguarding principles</li> </ul> <p>For further information about the role, please refer to the attached position description.</p> <p><strong><u>The Process</u></strong></p> <p>Applications (including CV and covering letter) to be submitted through <a href="https://www.edmundricecollege.nsw.edu.au/our-college/employment/" rel="nofollow">www.edmundricecollege.nsw.edu.au</a> by 27 July 2025.</p> <p>The appointment of a successful candidate is conditional and based on the successful completion of all pre-employment screening, including child-related employment and reference checks.</p>
