We seek an innovative and inspiring leader for this full-time position. This opportunity includes a substantive position as Teacher and a three-year leadership appointment as Head of Faculty.</p> <p>The Head of Religious Education acts as a key liaison between senior leadership and teaching staff and balances management and leadership responsibilities with hands-on teaching, developing staff, and maintaining and modelling a positive teaching and learning culture. This position involves crafting, assessing, and executing a dynamic and innovative curriculum that both challenges and inspires our students and staff. Exemplifying excellence in classroom practice, the Head of Faculty leads by example. An instructional and inspirational leader, and an important position model of faith, the Head of Religious Education is responsible for curriculum development and pedagogical subject excellence across Preparatory -12.</p> <p>The Head of Religious Education has a key position in supporting the overall Mission of the School, through promoting the faith development and understanding of the Loreto charism. This will be carried out through both the formal teaching of Religious Education and through leadership of and participation in the broader Mission and liturgical life of the school.&nbsp;</p> <p>For more details on the responsibilities, please refer to the detailed position description.</p> <p><strong>About You</strong></p> <p>To excel in this position, you will need:</p> <ul> <li>A tertiary teaching qualification and current VIT registration</li> <li>An accreditation to teach RE/Lead in a Catholic school</li> <li>Post graduate studies in Religious Education or Theology (desirable)</li> <li>Demonstrated experience in teaching Religious Education subject/s and knowledge of Religious Education curriculum frameworks</li> <li>Excellent leadership skills and experience leading and managing high performing teams</li> <li>Experience leading curriculum development, pedagogy and curriculum implementation</li> <li>Highly developed interpersonal skills, negotiating, influencing and communication skills</li> <li>High levels of digital literacy</li> </ul> <p><strong>Why work at Loreto Toorak?</strong></p> <p>Joining Loreto Toorak means joining a supportive, inclusive and collaborative community.
