The Acting Head of Wellbeing (Primary Years) is a significant leadership position with a responsibility for the social, emotional, and pastoral development of all students in the Primary Years.
<p>St Paul’s College is a co-educational R-12 Catholic College in the Edmund Rice tradition. With the Primary Years Precinct warmly educating approximately 350 students from Reception to Year 6, we invite applications for aspiring and experienced educational leaders who are passionate about wellbeing in schools, contributing to a Primary Years Leadership Team, and being an important member of our vibrant college community.</p>

<p><strong>Acting Head of Wellbeing (Primary Years) [POR4]</strong></p>
<p>A vital role within our Primary Leadership Team, we are seeking applications from suitable candidates, commencing <strong>Term 4 2025</strong> (13 October 2025) to fill a replacement position until the end of the <strong>2026</strong> school year, totalling 5 school terms. This is a full-time position. </p>
<p>The Head of Wellbeing (Primary Years) is a significant leadership position, and has a responsibility for the social, emotional, and pastoral development of all students in Primary Years. There is a teaching component as part of this position.</p>
<p><strong>About You</strong><br>
Applicants will need to:</p>
<ul>
<li>Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of wellbeing initiatives and responses that meet the needs of staff and students in Primary Years</li>
<li>Lead the pastoral, social, emotional and wellbeing development of all students in Primary Years</li>
<li>Have an excellent understanding and use of Restorative Practices, Trauma-aware practices and effective strategies to assist students to self-regulate and develop skills of personal responsibility and positive well-being</li>
<li>Create a learning environment that is engaging and inclusive of all students, particularly those for whom English is an additional language and those with additional learning, social and/or emotional needs</li>
<li>Communicate effectively to build positive partnerships with students, parents, colleagues and the broader community </li>
<li>Be an energetic, positive, dynamic educator who is committed to engaging in professional dialogue and working collaboratively within a flexible learning environment</li>
<li>Demonstrate leadership capability across multiple areas of education, as a member of the Primary Leadership Team.</li>
