St James Catholic Primary School, Brighton invites applications from experienced, motivated and enthusiastic Occupational Therapists to work with our teachers in assisting students that have a variety of individual learning needs. Support will focus on students Prep - 6. This is a (0.2) fixed term part time position commencing Term 4 2025. Ability to work on Thursday preferable.
<p><strong>Role consists of:&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>Completing formal and informal occupational therapy assessment for students aged 5-12 years to support intervention.&nbsp;</li> <li>Implementing appropriate occupational therapy intervention for students at an individual, small group or whole class level within the school environment.</li> <li>Working collaboratively with the school team including teachers, learning support officers and other allied health members to develop personalised learning plans and implement classroom strategies.&nbsp;</li> <li>Providing support to student's families or carers related to their child's goals through direct or indirect means (e.g meetings and developing/providing resources).&nbsp;</li> <li>Delivering education sessions for parents and/or staff at the school when appropriate.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Supporting development of school policies and procedures which relate to occupational therapy specific services, planning and delivery.</li> <li>Maintaining appropriate records and relevant documentation in student files.&nbsp;</li> <li>Maintaining therapy resources in conjunction with other staff.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p>
