<p><strong>About the Role</strong></p>
<p>The College is seeking a highly motivated and suitably qualified Teacher’s Aide to join our Diverse Learning Team. This position plays a vital role in supporting the academic and pastoral growth of students with diverse learning needs, including those requiring support in literacy, numeracy, or with specific adjustments.</p>
<p>The position is part-time (3 days per week), with days to be negotiated with the College Principal. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the Diverse Learning Coordinator and classroom teachers to promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.</p>
<p>We welcome applications from qualified Teacher’s Aides, as well as university students currently studying teaching or allied health degrees (e.g. Speech Pathology, Occupational Therapy, Psychology), who have a passion for supporting young learners.</p>
<p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Provide in-class, small-group, and individualised support for students with additional learning needs.</li>
<li>Assist in the development and implementation of personalised learning adjustments.</li>
<li>Support data collection and evidence-gathering for the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD).</li>
<li>Contribute to a supportive and inclusive classroom environment aligned with the College’s mission.</li>
<li>Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students and staff.</li>

<p><strong>Essential Criteria:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Hold a Certificate in Education Support (Teacher’s Aide) OR be currently studying a degree in Teaching or an Allied Health field (e.g. Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Psychology, Counselling). </li>
<li>Have a strong commitment to Catholic values and the mission of St Dominic’s College.</li>
<li>Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering positive student relationships.</li>
<li>Show a commitment to improving student outcomes and well-being.</li>
<li>Have an understanding of the pastoral needs of young men in an educational setting.</li>
<li>Exhibit a strong work ethic and commitment to ongoing professional development.</li>

<p><strong>Highly Desirable Criteria:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Experience working in a school environment, preferably in a Diverse Learning or Special Education setting.</li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to collaborate with teachers in the development of personalised learning strategies.</li>
<li>Experience in data collection and reporting for learning support programs.</li>
<li>Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with strong organisational skills.</li>
