<p>Columba Catholic Primary School is a Catholic primary school located in Bunyip with a current enrolment of 294 students. The School was officially opened in 2001 and is one of two primary schools in St Joseph’s Catholic Church Parish, Iona-Maryknoll.&nbsp;</p> <p>Through the years, Bunyip has grown from a rural residential town to become a part of a growth corridor, approximately 85 kilometres east of Melbourne’s CBD, on the lands of the Bunurong People. Bunyip is accessible directly from the M1 freeway with extensive public transport. Columba Catholic Primary School is located close to many of Gippsland’s natural attractions.</p> <p>The school, as part of Iona-Maryknoll Parish, provides access to Catholic education to families situated in the towns of Bunyip, Longwarry and Garfield as well as the rural towns of Catani, Cora Lynn and Iona.</p> <p>Columba Catholic Primary School Bunyip is seeking a faith filled, inspirational and dynamic Deputy Principal to work in partnership with our staff, student and parent community. The role of the primary deputy principal is to support the principal and leadership team in managing the planning, delivery, evaluation and improvement of the education of all students at Columba Catholic Primary School. The role involves working closely with the principal in enacting the strategic directions of DOSCEL and the deployment of resources, which reflect the following key priorities:</p> <ul> <li>Enlivening faith education and Catholic identity</li> <li>Improved learning outcomes for all students</li> <li>Strengthening and development of expert teacher practice, leadership formation and capacity building</li> <li> <p>Ongoing commitment to effective and supportive governance.</p> <p>We are seeking a suitably qualified applicant with a proven record of leadership and who aspires to principalship.The Deputy Principal position will initially be offered on a fixed-term basis for three years, with opportunity for renewal.
