<p>​MacKillop Family Services provides governance and oversight of MacKillop Education. Our schools and programs are also aligned with Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools.&nbsp;</p> <p>​MacKillop Education Schools are located in Geelong (Foundation to Senior), Maidstone (Years 3 to 6), and Caulfield (Foundation to Senior). Our schools cater for students with diverse learning needs who are disengaged, or at risk of disengaging, from education. The ratio of staff to students in each classroom as 1:4. We provide an individualised and differentiated learning program for each student. You’ll work side-by-side with a dedicated team and Key Teacher to create engaging, responsive learning experiences tailored to meet the diverse needs of our students. Your work will be hands-on and impactful—supporting students one-on-one, in small groups, and within the classroom environment to promote both learning and wellbeing.</p> <p>A core part of your role will be helping students stay focused and regulated, especially when they face challenges in the classroom. You'll be someone who brings patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to building trust and guiding students toward success.</p> <p>Please apply if you're looking for a fulfilling role where you can contribute to a mission-driven community and help shape a brighter future for young learners.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>We have a Permanent Full-time opportunity available based in Caulfield, VIC&nbsp;within our MacKillop Education Program.</strong></p> <p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p> <p><strong>Key Selection Criteria:</strong></p> <p>To be successful in this role, you will have:</p> <ul> <li>Relevant work experience and a minimum Diploma Qualification, Certificate IV in Education Support or Special needs or equivalent.</li> <li>A knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture and values and an awareness of the current issues faced by Aboriginal children, young people and their families.&nbsp;</li> <li>Demonstrated ability and experience in understanding the unique nature of providing high quality educational experiences to young people with multiple and complex needs, including those marginalised from school and society through trauma, abuse and neglect.
