<p><strong>Primary School Teacher – Saint Francis de Sales, Oak Park</strong></p> <p>Contract Type: Fixed Term Full Time&nbsp;</p> <p>Applications Close: 16/7/25</p> <p>Salary:&nbsp;$79,589 - $118,063.&nbsp;Based on experience in accordance with the Teacher scale of the Catholic Education Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2022 (<i>CEMEA</i>)</p> <p>Saint Francis de Sales is an integral part of the faith community of&nbsp;Oak Park and is a parish primary school.&nbsp;Saint Francis de Sales is governed under the authority of Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools Limited (MACS) ABN 18643442371. MACS is the employer of employees at&nbsp;Saint Francis de Sales.</p> <p><i>We are currently seeking a full time -Teacher for a Middle Primary Class to commence in Term 3, 2025.</i></p> <p>Candidates must have an ability to plan, work and learn in a team environment. The emphasis of this planning is on Faith-Based Inquiry. They must also have excellent classroom management skills and have a commitment to the ethos of Catholic Education and contemporary pedagogues.</p> <p>Job description:</p> <ul> <li>Provide challenging and engaging learning experiences that are responsive to student needs</li> <li>Differentiate within a classroom and programs, to ensure consistent and effective educational opportunities and academic growth for all students</li> <li>Liaise with the Learning Diversity Leader to plan and cater for students with additional needs including the creation of Personalised Learning Plans</li> <li>Lead Parent Support Group Meetings to effectively communicate students’ learning goals and progress&nbsp;</li> <li>Make appropriate adjustments for students’ learning needs and maintain up to date records to collate for NCCD data collection&nbsp;</li> <li>Build home-school partnerships and effectively communicate student progress</li> <li>Be accountable in being curriculum compliant eg: teaching the mandated hours in Literacy, Mathematics, RE&nbsp;</li> <li>Have planning completed prior to the commencement of the teaching week</li> <li>Record evidence of learning including focus group notes, intervention notes/data</li> <li>Lead Parent Learning Conversations at least two times a year, and communicate student learning progress with parents throughout the year as per the school reporting schedule</li> <li>Monitor and assess student performance and use data to inform learning and teaching</li> <li>Clearly document teaching and learning programs and maintain accurate records of student learning and progress</li> <li>Track data to analyse and reflect on the effect of teaching and learning programs</li> <li>Reliably report and provide frequent feedback to students about their learning</li> <li>Maintain deep knowledge of curriculum content and how to teach it using research best practice</li> <li>Embrace the use of digital technologies to enhance learning and continue development of digital technology skills as technology evolves</li> <li>Engage in professional discussions and feedback to improve professional knowledge and practice</li> <li>Attend and engage in weekly staff PL and PLT meetings</li> <li>Additional duties as directed by the principal</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Skills/Experience required:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor of Education or relevant tertiary qualification.</li> <li>A strong commitment to Catholic education.</li> <li>An ability to develop and maintain professional and caring relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.</li> <li>An ability to create an engaging, educational, and challenging learning environment that caters for the needs of all students.</li> <li>An eagerness to learn.</li> <li>An enthusiasm to implement a differentiated curriculum and use modern technology to support student learning.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Special Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Saint Francis de Sales promotes the safety, well-being, and inclusion of all children; therefore, the successful applicant must demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to providing a safe environment for children.</li> <li>The successful applicant will hold the Victorian Institute of Teaching registration.</li> <li>Accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic school is preferred.</li> <li>Contact details of two referees.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p>Please email your resume and cover letter to <a href="mailto:principal@sfoakpark.catholic.edu.au?subject=CLASSROOM%20TEACHING%20ROLE%202025%20%20%20position%20%28via%20Teachers%20On%20Net%29">principal@sfoakpark.catholic.edu.au</a>.</p> <p>Note: MACS is committed to the safety, wellbeing, and protection of all children in our care.
