St Bernard's College is a vibrant learning community providing holistic boys' education with a strong focus on academic excellence. The College is seeking a suitably qualified Pathways Coordinator and VM Teacher for a Parental Leave replacement. Commencing Term 3, 2025.

<p>This Position of Leadership (POL) oversees all matters that relate to the Vocational Major Program, TAFE Courses, Extended Industry Experience at the College, and is both responsible for and reports on this and related issues to the Assistant Principal (Learning).&nbsp;</p> <p>There is a 0.6 FTE Teaching VM component to this role. The College would consider offering the 0.6 FTE teaching component without the POL to the right candidate. &nbsp;This position is a Parental Leave Contract position&nbsp;</p> <p>The main responsibilities of the position include:</p> <ul> <li>Administration of Vocational Major and Baccalaureate Program</li> <li>Design&nbsp;appropriate&nbsp;courses&nbsp;that&nbsp;fulfill&nbsp;the&nbsp;requirements&nbsp;of&nbsp;the&nbsp;VCAA&nbsp;determined&nbsp;VM&nbsp;program. Co-ordinate&nbsp;off&nbsp;campus&nbsp;components&nbsp;of&nbsp;the VM&nbsp;course.</li> <li>To liaise regularly with families of students involved in the VM &amp; SBC Baccalaureate at the beginning and end of the program as well as during the course.</li> <li>Liaising&nbsp;with&nbsp;relevant&nbsp;staff&nbsp;at&nbsp;RMIT&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p>The successful applicant will have a teaching qualification with current VIT registration and demonstrate the following competencies:</p> <ul> <li>Experience teaching VM</li> <li>Understanding of and demonstrated commitment to the Catholic philosophy and ethos of education;</li> <li>Understanding of the pastoral care needs of boys in a Catholic secondary school;</li> <li>Experience within a Catholic educational organisation an advantage.</li> </ul> <p>Please visit <a href="https://www.sbc.vic.edu.au/about-us/employment-opportunities" rel="nofollow">https://www.sbc.vic.edu.au/about-us/employment-opportunities </a>to apply.
