St Peter's Catholic College, Tuggerah is currently seeking an energetic and passionate School Counsellor on a temporary part-time basis.

<p>St Peter's Catholic College, Tuggerah is currently seeking an energetic and passionate <strong>School Counsellor.</strong> The successful candidate will be suitably qualified and enjoy working in a dynamic and cohesive team.<br><br> You should be an experienced Psychologist or Social Worker with school-based experience and are registered with an appropriate professional association (i.e., AHPRA or AASW).<br><br> This is a temporary part-time opportunity (60 hours per fortnight) to start on 11 August 2025 and end on 26 January 2026. We have also introduced additional Staff Development Days plus further arrangements for teacher directed time throughout the year</li> <li><strong>Staff voice:</strong> Our Enterprise Agreement reflects our deep commitment to having systems in place which give our frontline staff a genuine voice in their work</li> <li><strong>Staff School Fee Discounts: </strong>Eligible staff receive a 25% discount on their children's school fees at our schools, pro-rated to their FTE</li> <li><strong>Wellbeing Support:</strong> we provide a robust wellbeing program to ensure our staff thrive and grow.</li> <li><strong>Middle Leaders Program</strong>: we have a comprehensive program to develop leadership capacity, including for aspiring leaders of tomorrow</li> <li>Teachers Overnight Allowance for Camps and Excursions</li> </ul> <p><strong>Specific Criteria</strong><br> &nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Understanding and commitment to the ethos of Catholic education.</li> <li>Either a Psychologist or Social Worker with registered membership with the appropriate professional association (i.e., AHPRA - Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority or AASW - Australian Association of Social Workers).</li> <li>A strong understanding of current research and practice in the field of children and adolescent mental health, wellbeing, and education.</li> <li>Experience in counselling adolescents using evidence-based interventions.</li> <li>Experience in the administration of cognitive, emotional, and behavioural assessments and mental health screeners.</li> <li>Knowledge of current child protection legislation.</li> <li>An ability to work independently and collaboratively within and across teams to achieve educational improvement and positive wellbeing.</li> <li>Excellent oral, written communication, and interpersonal skills.</li> <li>Complex case management experience in a school setting will be highly regarded</li> </ul> <p><strong>About Us</strong><br><br> We are Catholic Schools Broken Bay, a vibrant and enriching learning environment that spans the Central Coast, Sydney's Northern Beaches and the North Shore.
