St Josephine Bakhita Catholic Primary School opened in January 2025 and is seeking Foundation and Year One classroom teachers to join its amazing team in 2026 as we begin to grow!
<p><strong><u>About the school</u></strong></p>
<p>St Josephine Bakhita is a brand new Catholic primary school in the new Five Farms estate in Clyde North and is situated 46 kilometres southeast of Melbourne’s Central Business District on the lands of the Bunurong People.</p>
<p>The school is the thirty-ninth Catholic primary school in the Diocese of Sale and the second primary school in the Parish of St Thomas the Apostle. </p>
<p>The school opened in January 2025 with an initial enrolment of 120 students. In 2026, the school will grow by 4 Foundation classes. The long-term enrolment projection for St Josephine’s is 700 students (100 students each year until we reach capacity). </p>
<p>Stage 2 will begin construction in July this year. </p>
<p><strong>St Josephine Bakhita Catholic Primary School is seeking dynamic and dedicated Foundation and Year 1 Classroom Teachers to join its amazing team of this exciting new school. </strong></p>
<p>The successful applicants will have a demonstrated commitment to Catholic education and to the safety and wellbeing of children. They will;</p>
<ul>
<li>hold a current Victorian Institute of Teaching registration.</li>
<li>demonstrate a commitment to the safety and wellbeing of children</li>
<li>develop and maintain professional and caring relationships</li>
<li>engage students in learning and facilitate best educational practice</li>
<li>demonstrate a commitment to the ethos of the Catholic church and school</li>
<li>display strong interpersonal and communication skills</li>
<li>effectively work as part of a professional educative team</li>
<li>demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the progression of learning in all curriculum areas, including Religious Education</li>
<li>differentiate learning according to student needs</li>
<li>actively involve themselves in personal learning</li>
<li>hold an accreditation or be willing to engage in accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic school.</li>
</ul>
