<p><strong>About the Opportunity</strong></p>
<p>The Deputy Principal will work in close partnership with the Principal and Executive Team to deliver the Redlands Strategic Plan. This pivotal role combines strategic and operational leadership with a strong focus on culture, care and continuous improvement across the School.</p>
<p>Key responsibilities include oversight of compliance, risk and safeguarding, alongside active involvement in student care, staff wellbeing and development, and enrolment growth. As a key ambassador for Redlands, the Deputy Principal will represent the School in the wider community and will deputise for the Principal as required. The role also provides exposure to school governance, offering valuable insight into the complexities of school leadership at the highest level.</p>
<p>This is a full-time, five-year appointment commencing in January 2026.</p>

<p><strong>Applicants will be able to demonstrate:</strong></p>
<p>Strategic and visionary leadership, with the ability to translate ideas into action, while engaging and enabling staff</p>
<p>Proven ability to lead a flourishing learning environment that supports the wellbeing of students and staff</p>
<p>Experience in developing policies, programs and plans aligned with strategic priorities to a best practice standard</p>
<p>A deep understanding of contemporary educational issues and their implications for school improvement </p>
<p>Capacity to lead, mentor and empower high-performing teams, fostering trust, collaboration and growth</p>
<p>Strong support for key People and Culture initiatives to ensure positive employee experience and that Redlands remains an employer of choice</p>
<p>Ability to inspire and connect with students, staff and parents in a diverse, inclusive community</p>

<p>Eligibility for NESA teacher accreditation</p>
<p>Excellent organisational and communication skills</p>
<p>Contemporary knowledge of child safeguarding obligations and responsibilities, with a commitment to driving the safeguarding culture</p>
<p>Clearance to work with children (WWCC)</p>
<p>A calm, supportive and confident presence, matched with energy, sound judgement, resilience and a strong alignment to the values and Christian heritage of Redlands</p>
<p><strong>Desirable</strong></p>
<p>A Master’s degree in education, leadership, or a related field</p>
<p>A current First Aid certificate</p>
