Together, we can empower our students to navigate their educational journey with confidence and support.</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Provide individual and group counselling sessions for students.</li> <li>Assess students' needs through observations and interviews.</li> <li>Develop and implement programs that promote emotional and social development.</li> <li>Collaborate with teachers and parents to support student well-being.</li> <li>Help students in setting academic and personal goals.</li> <li>Provide crisis intervention and support when needed.</li> <li>Maintain records of counselling sessions and student progress.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Requirements</strong></p> <ul> <li>Tertiary qualifications in Counselling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.</li> <li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills.</li> <li>Experience working with children and adolescents in a school setting.</li> <li>Ability to create and foster a safe and welcoming environment.</li> <li>Knowledge of applicable laws and ethics in school counselling.</li> <li>Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong><u>About Catherine McAuley College</u></strong></p> <p>Catherine McAuley College is a co-educational Year 7 to 12 Catholic secondary school located in the beautiful central Victorian city of Bendigo.
