<p>Located in Adelaide, Immanuel College is a leading independent co-educational school for day and boarding students from Years 7 to 12. Established in 1895, the College has a rich history of providing a comprehensive and holistic education underscored by its Lutheran traditions. <p>Reporting to the Principal, the Head of Senior School is a key member of the College Leadership Team, responsible for the strategic and operational direction of Years 10–12. The Head of Senior School provides visible, inspiring leadership that builds staff capability and strengthens a culture of connection, innovation, and excellence in learning and wellbeing. Responsible for implementing strategic initiatives, overseeing key events, and ensuring high standards of student engagement, staff development, and community partnerships, this role is vital in ensuring a vibrant, connected and high-functioning Senior School community where every student is known, valued and challenged to thrive.</p>
<p>The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:</p>

<li>A commitment to the Lutheran values and support of the ethos, vision and mission of the College.</li>
<li>Extensive experience in senior school leadership with a deep understanding of curriculum, pedagogy, and student wellbeing. </li>
<li>Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to engage and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders including parents, students, and staff.</li>
<li>Proven operational capabilities, including the effective management of staff, programs and resources, and the capacity to improve operational systems and processes.</li>
<li>Expertise in strategic development and review, including high-level planning and change management skills.</li>
<li>A strong commitment to student growth and staff development, with demonstrated ability to foster inclusive, aspirational and high-performing learning environments.</li>
</ul>
<p>With a commencement date in January 2026, applicants must have the right to work in Australia and hold relevant state teacher registration. </p>
