Manager of Operations

The Manager of Operations works closely with leadership, site administrators and staff to drive and improve the operational administrative efficiency of our school and support the effective day-to-day running of the school. This role will bring together an Administrative Community of Practice and drive the development and implementation of new administrative innovations in practice.

<p>Young people come from diverse backgrounds and often face a significant and complex range of educational, social, developmental, psychological, health, legal barriers to learning which require unique interventions. Our approach is grounded in the Operation By Principles framework, which combines education with an understanding of trauma-informed practices. We recognise that each young person’s journey is unique. <p> <strong>The Role </strong> </p>
<p>The Manager of Operations works closely with leadership, site administrators and staff to drive and improve the operational administrative efficiency of our school and support the effective day-to-day running of the school. They are responsible for business operations including fleet management, new campus openings and operational administrative procedures. A key responsibility is the oversight of the Administration functions within Saints College, to ensure efficient, and contemporary administrative practices are in place. This role will bring together an Administrative Community of Practice and drive the development and implementation of new administrative innovations in practice. </p>
<p>Due to the nature of the role, the Manager of Operations will have a ‘hands-on’ approach and may be required to work flexible hours with some duties needing to be performed at times other than during the school day. </p>
<p>You will be employed on an ongoing basis, commencing as soon as possible and will be employed under the Catholic Education Multi Enterprise Agreement 2022. </p>
<p> <strong>You will need </strong> </p>
<ul>
<li>Ability to commit to and work within our Operating Principles; Respect, Participation, Safe and Legal and Honesty </li>
<li>Qualifications in Business, Administrative Management, Finance or Accounting or equivalent education and experience </li>
<li>Hold a valid Working with Children Check or have the ability to obtain, and a National Police Check certificate (issued within the last six months), or hold a current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration. </li>
<li>Previous experience in a similar role </li>
<li>Experience in managing contractors on-site as they relate to vehicle maintenance, and meeting quality standards. </li>
<li>Experience in developing and maintaining administrative processes which support efficient and compliant operations. </li>
<li>High level computer literacy and proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications. </li>
<li>Proven initiative, organisational and problem-solving skills with the ability to operate independently or within a team environment to lead and deliver on timelines. </li>
<li>Proven management skills and ability to work collaboratively with a ‘hands-on’ mindset. </li>
<li>High-level attention to detail. </li>
<li> Ability to build and maintain quality working relationships. <br>
Resilient and able to develop resilience in others with a high level of emotional intelligence. </li>
<li>The ability to inspire and engage young people </li>
<li>Be willing to support young people and our team members to reach their potential </li>
