The College is seeking a suitably qualified full time Year 9 Media, Humanities & Religious Education Teacher. Commencing Term 3 2025 for the remainder of the 2025 Academic Year.

<p>This position is a Contract Leave replacement position located at our Year 9 Campus - Resurrection House located 5 minutes from the main Essendon Campus.</p> <p>The main responsibilities of the position include:</p> <ul> <li>Provide opportunities for student engagement through a variety of learning experiences where students are encouraged and supported in achieving personal excellence.</li> <li>Provide students with a positive role model through their actions as a committed Catholic educator.</li> <li>To assist students with individual and group work in accordance with the work requirements outlined in course of studies.</li> <li>Assist the Key Learning Leaders in reviewing, designing and developing curriculum.</li> <li>Positively contributing to the St Bernard's College teaching team</li> <li>Participating in extra-curricular programs ; and</li> <li>Other tasks as directed by the Key Learning Area Leader’s and Deputy Principal.</li> </ul> <p>The successful applicant will have a teaching qualification with current VIT registration and demonstrate the following competencies:</p> <ul> <li>Experience teaching Year 9 Media, Humanities &amp; Religious Education</li> <li>Understanding of and demonstrated commitment to the Catholic philosophy and ethos of education;</li> <li>Understanding of the pastoral care needs of boys in a Catholic secondary school;</li> <li>Experience within a Catholic educational organisation an advantage.</li> </ul> <p>Please complete the online application clicking on the "Apply Now' button.</p> <p>Applications close 4.00pm 25 June 2025. &nbsp;This position will close earlier if a suitable candidate is appointed.</p> <p>The College promotes the safety, wellbeing and inclusion of all children and young people.</p>
