The Head of English is a member of the middle leaders and Teaching and Learning Team.

<p>Founded in 1881 by the&nbsp;Marist&nbsp;Brothers, St Joseph’s College is a boarding and day secondary boys school, whose Catholic identity is shaped by Marist&nbsp;spirituality and&nbsp;traditions. Governed by Marist Schools Australia, the College enrolment&nbsp;is 1,100 students.</p> <p><strong>Head of English</strong></p> <p><i>full-time, contracted position, commencing Term 3, 2025 or by mutual agreement</i></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>The Head of English is a member of the middle leaders and Teaching and Learning Team.&nbsp; Heads of Department carry the primary responsibility for the ongoing development and supervision of the curriculum and the quality of teaching and learning that is provided for each student.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>The Head of Department exercises leadership and management of their Department, which is responsible for the development and implementation of the relevant subject based curricular in line with the College’s Learning Framework and the NSW Education Standard Authority requirements.&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Applications are invited from experienced English Teachers and leaders.&nbsp;The successful applicant will be an exceptional teacher with proven strategic, leadership, management, administrative and interpersonal skills, and will possess a capacity to consolidate and further advance established current structures.&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>All applicants for the above position must be&nbsp;supportive of the Catholic ethos and Marist tradition of the College.&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>The successful applicant will work in a modern work environment, with a very positive and supportive culture, located close to public transport and free parking.
