<p><strong>About the Role</strong><br>
We have an exciting opportunity for a Learning Support Officer to become a valuable addition to our remarkable team at St Matthews Catholic School in Mudgee NSW. This role supports classroom teachers in delivering high-quality instruction and care to students, including small group and individual learning support to help students reach their full potential.</p>
<p>The Learning Support Officer is dynamic and full of varying responsibilities, some of which include (but not limited to):</p>
<ul>
<li>Promoting Christian values and participating in the religious life of the school.</li>
<li>Assisting the classroom teacher in delivering engaging, differentiated lessons.</li>
<li>Supporting students’ social, emotional, and academic development through targeted assistance.</li>
<li>Contributing to the implementation of whole-school behaviour and learning support practices.</li>
<li>Using a variety of strategies and resources to meet the diverse needs of students.</li>
<li>Participating in professional learning and collaborating with teachers and school staff.</li>
<li>Providing supervision and assistance during classroom, indoor, and outdoor activities.</li>

<p><strong>About You</strong><br>
We are looking for someone who can address the following selection criteria::</p>
<ul>
<li>A passion for education and a commitment to supporting student learning within a Catholic Primary School context.</li>
<li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with teachers and engage positively with students.</li>
<li>Demonstrated experience working with children in an educational setting, especially in a primary school environment.</li>
<li>A willingness to continue learning and developing professionally in line with best practices in education support.</li>
<li>The ability to nurture student wellbeing and build trusting relationships based on patience, care, and mutual respect.</li>
<li>A commitment to the ethos and mission of Catholic education and an understanding of how to support students in alignment with these values.</li>
<li>Possession of a Certificate III in Education Support (or equivalent) is an advantage.</li>
<li>A valid Working with Children Check.</li>
