We recognise that students learn in diverse ways and are committed to providing tailored learning experiences that promote high expectations for learning growth.<br><br> We are currently seeking Specialist: Personalised Learning to provide expert guidance, support, and strategic leadership across our schools and networks. This role plays a vital part in responding to the unique needs of students with disabilities and additional learning needs.<br><br> As a leader of a team of skilled Diverse Learning practitioners, the Specialist will ensure the delivery of high-quality, evidence based practice K-12, across all categories of disability.<br><br> Your responsibilities will include, but not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>leading initiatives aligned with Sydney Catholic Schools' goals, ensuring inclusive practices and high-quality support for students with disability across K-12</li> <li>driving the development of pedagogical framework grounded in neuroscience and research-informed theory, aligned with NESA curriculum and contemporary instructional strategies and assessment practices</li> <li>co-leading the strategic implementation of assistive technologies to enhance leaders' and teachers' practices and expand learning opportunities for students</li> <li>designing and leading professional learning and development for school leaders, teachers, and team members, focusing on personalised learning, NESA syllabus requirements, and disability-specific strategies</li> <li>overseeing the facilitation of NCCD processes, ensuring data informs targeted learning goals and progress monitoring, and prepare reports for stakeholders</li> <li>collaborating with Principals to support leadership responses to student needs and foster a culture of inclusive education across school communities.</li> </ul> <p><strong>About You</strong><br><br> The successful candidate will possess the following:</p> <ul> <li>a university Degree in Education and current NESA accreditation, operating at the Highly Accomplished or Lead level of the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers</li> <li>a minimum of eight years of teaching experience in a school</li> <li>proven system/school level leadership</li> <li>success in improving student outcomes and implementing school-wide initiatives</li> <li>skilled in leading staff professional learning</li> <li>experience in using data analysis to inform educational decisions<br> excellent written, oral and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate contemporary educational trends</li> <li>a willingness to respect, support, and uphold the mission, ethos, and teachings of the Catholic Church and the values of SCS.</li> </ul> <p>Desirable:</p> <ul> <li>postgraduate qualifications in Inclusive Education, Learning Difficulties or related discipline</li> <li>knowledge of the Catholic Systemic Schools/Systems</li> <li>a current driver's licence and access to a car.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Why Work for Sydney Catholic Schools</strong><br><br> In joining SCS, you will be part of the largest Catholic education community in NSW.
