St Dominic’s College, Kingswood is seeking a part-time Risk and Compliance Officer (3 days/week) to support WHS, risk management, and regulatory compliance. The mission of St Dominic's College is to create a caring environment where excellence in Education is evident within the Catholic tradition and the Spirit of Edmund Rice.</i></p> <p><strong>About the Role</strong></p> <p>St Dominic’s College is seeking a dedicated and experienced Risk and Compliance Officer to support the College in ensuring compliance with all legislative and regulatory obligations, with a strong focus on workplace health and safety (WHS), risk management, and policy governance.</p> <p>This is a strategic and operational role requiring initiative, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the College.</p> <p>This is a part-time (3 days per week) ongoing position. Days worked will be negotiated with the College Principal. The role is classified as an Averaged Support Staff position, which means the successful applicant will not be required to work during school holidays but will receive averaged salary payments across the year, including during those breaks.</p> <p><strong>Key responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Assist the Director of Business Services in maintaining Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) standards, including reviewing and updating policies and procedures related to Risk and WHS.</li> <li>Manage and update the College's Complispace platform to ensure compliance with policies and risk frameworks.</li> <li>Support internal and external safety audits and assist with risk assessments as required.</li> <li>Act as a key member of the WHS Committee, preparing agendas and reports on behalf of the Director of Business Services.</li> <li>Prepare and submit the half-yearly WHS Report to the College School Advisory Council.</li> <li>Serve as the first point of contact for incident and accident reporting for staff, including workers' compensation documentation and compliance with WorkCover and EREA policies.</li> <li>Oversee the College’s Return to Work Program, ensuring injured staff members are supported in their reintegration into the workplace.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Essential Criteria:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience in risk management, compliance, or similar role.</li> <li>Strong knowledge of compliance obligations, risk assessment frameworks, and WHS standards.</li> <li>Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills.</li> <li>High proficiency in Microsoft Office and student administration systems.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Highly Desirable Criteria:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Postgraduate qualifications in Risk Management, Compliance, or a related field. e.g Degree of Certificate IV in Governance and Risk Management, Certificate IV in WHS or equivalent</li> <li>Fire Safety Advisor certification, or willingness to attain.</li> <li>Experience working in Catholic or independent school settings.</li> <li>Knowledge of Complispace or similar compliance management platforms.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;<strong>Staff Benefits</strong>:&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Employee Assistance Program (EAP) – Counselling Service.&nbsp;</li> <li>Annual influenza vaccinations provided by the College.&nbsp;</li> <li>Catered weekly morning teas.&nbsp;</li> <li>Catered staff development and networking days.&nbsp;</li> <li>Free street parking.&nbsp;</li> <li>Free use of College gym.&nbsp;</li> <li>College provided laptops.</li> </ul> <p>Support Staff at St Dominic’s College are employed under the&nbsp;<strong>NSW Catholic Independent Schools (Support Staff – Model B) Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2023</strong>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>How to Apply:</strong></p> <p>Applicants are encouraged to visit the College website&nbsp;<a href="http://www.stdominics.nsw.edu.au/" rel="nofollow">www.stdominics.nsw.edu.au</a>&nbsp;for further information about the College.
