<p><br><strong>About the Role</strong><br>
We have an exciting opportunity for an approachable and caring Learning Support Teacher to join the supportive team at James Sheahan Catholic High School Orange, NSW. The Learning Support Teacher in a Catholic school is someone who can work with other members of the school to ensure that the 'Support for all' goal is alive and embedded into all practices within the Learning & Teaching environment of the school. </p>
<p>We are seeking a Teacher who understands and commits to supporting the mission and ethos of Catholic education within the school by:</p>
<ul>
<li>Creating a learner-centred, supportive, and cooperative learning environment aligned with curriculum policies.</li>
<li>Developing and implementing quality curriculum programs using effective teaching methods; assess and report student progress.</li>
<li>Using inclusive teaching strategies and adapt practices for equitable education.</li>
<li>Analysing student assessment data to identify learning barriers and encourage improvement.</li>
<li>Engaging in ongoing professional development to enhance student outcomes.</li>
<li>Liaising with parents and allied health professionals to support their students engagement in learning </li>
<li>Collaborating with school leadership, staff, and contributing to school life.</li>

We are looking for someone who can address the following selection criteria:</p>
<ul>
<li>A willingness to support the Catholic tradition and ethos in the workplace</li>
<li>Ability to implement learning support programs and structures in a secondary school setting, including Individual Learning Plans</li>
<li>Ability to support effective tiered intervention strategies and programs, and to support teaching staff in implementing these strategies</li>
<li>Experience in liaising with students, staff, parents and relevant organisations regarding disability and support matters</li>
<li>Experience working with literacy/ numeracy interventions</li>
</ul>
