We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and dedicated Education Support Officer to work closely with a Prep student requiring one-to-one support. This role is suited to someone with demonstrated experience working with children with diverse needs, including behavioural, developmental, and social-emotional challenges.

<p><strong>Education Support Officer (Prep – Diverse Needs)</strong></p> <p><strong>Fixed Term – Commencing 2025 (with potential for extension)</strong><br><strong>Start Date: As soon as possible</strong></p> <p>St Brigid’s School is seeking a compassionate, experienced, and proactive Education Support Officer to join our warm and collaborative Catholic learning community. This role primarily involves providing one-on-one support to a Prep student with diverse learning and behavioural needs, with opportunities to assist small groups as required.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Deliver tailored support to a Prep student, fostering their academic, social, and emotional development.</li> <li>Collaborate closely with classroom teachers and the Learning Diversity Leader to implement Individual Learning Plans (ILPs).</li> <li>Facilitate inclusive learning experiences, adapting strategies to meet the unique needs of the student.</li> <li>Maintain open and effective communication with staff, parents, and relevant stakeholders.</li> <li>Uphold the Catholic ethos and values of St Brigid’s School in all interactions.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Essential Criteria:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Demonstrated experience supporting students with diverse and challenging needs, preferably in early years education.</li> <li>Ability to implement behaviour support strategies and adapt to dynamic classroom environments.</li> <li>Strong interpersonal skills, with the capacity to build positive relationships with students and staff.</li> <li>Commitment to continuous professional development and reflective practice.</li> <li>Understanding of and commitment to the principles of Catholic education.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Child Safety Commitment:</strong></p> <p>St Brigid’s School is committed to the safety and wellbeing of all children and young people.
