<p><strong>College Counsellor / Student Wellbeing (Contract)</strong></p> <p>Good Shepherd College – Hamilton, Victoria<br> Part Time | Term Time | Contract: 2nd June – 19th September 2025</p> <p>Good Shepherd College is a Prep–Year 12 Christian school located in beautiful Western Victoria. With campuses set among natural surrounds and farmland, we are a community that places faith, care and student flourishing at the centre of all we do.</p> <p>We are currently seeking a compassionate and skilled College Counsellor / Student Wellbeing Officer to join our team for a contract position across both our Junior and Senior Campuses.</p> <p><strong>In this vital role, you will:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Provide individual and group counselling for students from Prep–Year 12</li> <li>Support student wellbeing through restorative practices, resilience-building and proactive programs</li> <li>Collaborate with families, staff, and external agencies to care for the whole child</li> <li>Contribute to a positive and Christ-centred school culture</li> <li>Ensure best practices in child safety, professional confidentiality and wellbeing support</li> </ul> <p><strong>To be successful in this role, you will have:</strong></p> <ul> <li>A heart for working with young people and a sense of calling to Christian education</li> <li>Tertiary qualifications in Counselling, Psychology, Social Work, Youth Work or similar</li> <li>Experience in a school or youth-related setting (preferred)</li> <li>Strong communication, empathy, and organisational skills</li> <li>A current Working With Children Check (WWCC)</li> <li>Familiarity with wellbeing frameworks (e.g. Berry Street, Resilience Project) is an advantage</li> </ul> <p>This is a <strong>part-time contract role</strong> during term time only.
