<p><strong>THE OPPORTUNITIES</strong><br>
Sacred Heart College is seeking forward-thinking and dedicated educators to take on leadership roles in Learning Design. These Positions of Leadership (POL) are central to supporting teacher growth, designing future-focused curriculum, and shaping dynamic learning experiences for students across Years 7–12.</p>
<p>Our approach to Learning Design is built on three key pillars:</p>
<ul>
<li>Strategic curriculum leadership across junior and senior years</li>
<li>Sustained support for students through engaging, personalised learning pathways</li>
<li>Collaborative development of high-impact pedagogy and professional practice</li>
</ul>

<p>We invite applications for the following Positions of Leadership:</p>
<p><strong>1. McAuley Years (7–9) Learning Leader – POL 4</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Leads curriculum design and instructional practice for the junior years.</li>
<li>Champions the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program (MYP).</li>
<li>Develops deep learning experiences aligned with UDL principles and global citizenship.</li>
<li>POL Allowance: $13,018</li>
<li>Time Release: 18 periods per week</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>2. Maguire Years (10–12) Learning Leader – POL 4</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Leads senior learning including VCE, VET, and vocational pathways.</li>
<li>Supports deep learning and post-school readiness.</li>
<li>Oversees curriculum development, staff capability, and external partnerships.</li>
<li>POL Allowance: $13,018</li>
<li>Time Release: 18 periods per week</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>3. My Learning Journey (MLJ) Designer – POL 3</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Shapes personalised learning pathways that reflect student choice, agency, and global awareness.</li>
<li>Supports staff and students to make informed learning decisions.</li>
<li>Collaborates across leadership to align pedagogy with future-focused strategy.</li>
<li>POL Allowance: $9,629</li>
<li>Time Release: 12 periods per week</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>4. Learning Designers (5 positions) – POL 2</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Collaborate with discipline teams to design purposeful and inclusive learning programs.</li>
<li>Support curriculum alignment with UDL and contemporary pedagogies.</li>
<li>Contribute to continuous improvement in teaching practices across Years 7–12.</li>
<li>POL Allowance: $6,326</li>
<li>Time Release: 8 periods per week</li>

<p><strong>ABOUT YOU</strong></p>
<p>In addition to the responsibilities outlined in the position descriptions attached, successful candidates will be able to demonstrate sound responses to the following selection criteria:</p>
<p>Essential:</p>
<ul>
<li>Tertiary qualifications in Education with evidence of continuous formal learning in a relevant field.</li>
<li>Accreditation to Teach in a Catholic School, working towards attainment or preparedness to commence working towards attainment.</li>
<li>Highly developed understanding of sustainable positive education practices.</li>
<li>Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.</li>
<li>Ability to lead others.</li>
<li>Forward thinking and innovative.</li>
<li>Understanding of and commitment to positive education practices.</li>
</ul>
<p>Desirable:</p>
<ul>
<li>Experience managing projects and resources.</li>
<li>Understanding of Mercy traditions, and capacity to positively advance the mission and Mercy values.</li>
</ul>
<p>All employees are subject to appropriate employment and compliance checks prior to and during employment.</p>
<p>This position requires:</p>
<ul>
<li>current VIT registration</li>
