These Positions of Leadership (POL) are an exciting opportunity to contribute to the College’s strategic direction and support inclusive practices across all learning areas.</p> <p>Our approach to inclusion and diversity is grounded in the Universal Design for Learning (UDL) framework. UDL promotes access and success for all learners by designing flexible learning environments that accommodate individual learning differences.</p> <p>The Inclusion and Diversity Network focuses on:</p> <ul> <li>Sustained support for students with a disability within a well-established and substantial framework.</li> <li>Building teacher capability to meet the diverse needs of students in the classroom.</li> <li>Driving strategic development in inclusive education across the College.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>We invite applications for the following Positions of Leadership:</p> <p><strong>1. Leader of Inclusion and Diversity – POL 4</strong></p> <ul> <li>Provides strategic leadership across the Inclusion and Diversity Network.</li> <li>Leads a team including Inclusive Learning and Inclusive Practice Coordinators, First Nations and Refugee Background Specialists, and allied support staff.</li> <li>Refines and integrates the UDL Framework in partnership with Learning Leaders.</li> <li>Oversees compliance, budgeting, and reporting requirements.</li> <li>Builds and manages community partnerships to enhance strategic initiatives.</li> <li>POL 4 Allowance: $13,018&nbsp;</li> <li>Time Release: 18 periods per week<br> &nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>2. Inclusive Learning Coordinator – POL 3</strong></p> <ul> <li>Coordinates the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD) and related compliance.</li> <li>Leads support for students requiring extensive and substantial adjustments.</li> <li>Manages Personalised Learning Plans, Program Support Group meetings, and Student Support Services.</li> <li>Supports student transitions and out-of-home care provisions.</li> <li>POL 3 Allowance: $9,629</li> <li>Time Release: 24 periods per week</li> </ul> <p><strong>3. Inclusive Practice Coordinator – POL 3</strong></p> <ul> <li>Leads the implementation of UDL-aligned inclusive classroom practice.</li> <li>Builds teacher capability through mentoring, coaching, and professional development.</li> <li>Oversees Learning Support Officers and facilitates collaboration with classroom teachers.</li> <li>Guides interpretation and application of learner profiles and ILPs.</li> <li>POL 3 Allowance: $9,629</li> <li>Time Release: 12 periods per week</li> </ul> <p><br> &nbsp;</p> <p>For further information and a copy of the relevant position descriptions, please click through the attachments linked below, or visit our website.</p> <p><br> &nbsp;</p> <p><strong>ABOUT YOU</strong></p> <p>In addition to the responsibilities outlined in the position descriptions attached, successful candidates will be able to demonstrate sound responses to the following&nbsp;selection criteria:</p> <p>Essential:</p> <ul> <li>Tertiary qualifications in Education with evidence of continuous formal learning in a relevant field.</li> <li>Accreditation to Teach in a Catholic School, working towards attainment or preparedness to&nbsp;commence working towards attainment.</li> <li>Highly developed understanding of sustainable positive education practices.</li> <li>Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.</li> <li>Ability to lead others.</li> <li>Forward thinking and innovative.</li> <li>Understanding of and commitment to positive education practices.</li> </ul> <p>Desirable:</p> <ul> <li>Experience managing projects and resources.</li> <li>Understanding of Mercy traditions, and capacity to positively advance the mission and Mercy values.</li> </ul> <p>All employees are subject to appropriate employment and compliance checks prior to and during employment.</p> <p>This position requires:</p> <ul> <li>current VIT registration</li> </ul> <p><br> &nbsp;</p> <p><strong>APPLICATION PROCESS</strong></p> <p>Applications must include:</p> <ol> <li>a cover letter clearly stating which POL(s) you are applying for, and addressing the selection criteria in the relevant Position Description(s), and</li> <li>a current resume.<br> &nbsp;</li> </ol> <p>Cover letters should be be addressed to Ms Anna Negro, Principal.</p> <p><strong>Applications close 9.00am Monday 2 June 2025.</strong></p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
