Frensham is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic HSIE teacher with experience teaching Economics and/or Business Studies, Commerce, Stage 4/5 History and Geography, to join us on a full-time basis (part-time considered) for Term 3, 2025 (parental leave contract).

They are taught to value kindness, resilience, empathy and compassion, and to carry these attributes with them for life, alongside the School’s core values.</p> <p><strong>Role Overview</strong></p> <p><strong>Frensham is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic HSIE teacher with experience teaching Economics and/or Business Studies, Commerce, Stage 4/5 History and Geography, to join us on a full-time basis (part-time considered) for Term 3, 2025 (parental leave contract).</strong></p> <p>The Frensham HSIE Faculty is a cohesive group of colleagues who work collaboratively, share skills, team-teach and support each other in order to promote their courses to students as a challenging and exciting field of learning. Members of the HSIE Faculty are also driving our programme development, working cross-faculty to implement innovative projects as part of our unique Jamieson Programme and in support of Cambridge International courses.</p> <p>The position would suit:</p> <ul> <li>Experienced teachers with proven success in teaching at all levels, and keenness to join outstanding colleagues and highly motivated students in Australia’s leading boarding school for girls, or</li> <li>Recent graduates with proven ability to meet the goals of the faculty.</li> </ul> <p>They will also possess strong interpersonal and organisational skills as well as be committed to implementing contemporary pedagogical practices.</p> <p>All teaching staff are committed to a professional learning programme focused on improvement in professional practice as part of a school-wide pursuit of excellence in teaching.</p> <p><strong>Role Requirements</strong></p> <ul> <li>Possess appropriate teaching and tertiary qualifications relevant to the position.&nbsp;</li> <li>Experience teaching or ability to teach Economics and/or Business Studies to HSC level, Commerce, Stage 4/5 History and Geography.</li> <li>Dynamic and effective classroom practitioner.</li> <li>Ability to differentiate instruction and cater for a range of learning abilities and needs.</li> <li>Thorough understanding of the learning process, including the role of assessment and feedback.</li> <li>A commitment to pastoral care and meeting the social and emotional wellbeing needs of students.&nbsp;</li> <li>An understanding of and commitment to the educational needs of young women.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>A commitment to collaborative teaching practices and an ability to contribute to a team and faculty of professional educators.&nbsp;</li> <li>An ability to use ICT to facilitate and enrich student learning and engagement beyond the classroom.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>Personal Capabilities and Characteristics&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>Commitment to the values and ethos of Frensham Schools.&nbsp;</li> <li>Willingness to contribute to the full life of the School, through involvement in Boarding and co-curricular activities.</li> <li>Commitment to ongoing professional development.</li> <li>Open-minded, collaborative, enthusiastic and optimistic.</li> <li>Personal integrity, honesty and fairness.</li> <li>Creative and well-organised.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Please note:</strong> The provision of accommodation on campus may be available to a suitable candidate.</p> <p><strong>Commencement:&nbsp;</strong>Term 3, 2025 (parental leave contract for one term)</p> <p><i>All staff at Frensham Schools take an active role in ensuring our Child Protection programs, policies and processes are at the forefront of all that we do.
