<p><strong>The Opportunity</strong></p>
<p>Are you an inspiring and experienced educational leader, passionate about guiding young adults through the final stages of their secondary education? St Patrick’s College is seeking a dedicated and visionary leader to join our team as Head of School – Senior School. This is an exceptional full time opportunity to shape the future of our Senior School (Years 10–12), where the focus is on fostering a community of faith, learning, respect, and service in the Catholic tradition.</p>
<p>The Senior School at St Patrick’s College is designed to support students as they navigate the final stage of their secondary education, with an emphasis on personal responsibility, informed decision-making, and independent thinking. Senior students are encouraged to take ownership of their learning journey in collaboration with a dedicated and supportive team of staff. The curriculum is grounded in the Australian Curriculum framework, with Year 10 students accessing Level 2 TASC subjects, and students in Years 11 and 12 engaging in a wide range of courses aligned with the Tasmanian Assessment, Standards and Certification (TASC) syllabi.</p>
<p>As the Head of School – Senior School, you will lead all aspects of the Senior School campus in alignment with the College’s Catholic mission and values. Reporting to the Principal, you will oversee pastoral care, teaching and learning, administration, discipline, religious education, and co-curricular programs. This student-centred leadership position focuses on wellbeing, behaviour, student leadership, and community engagement, working collaboratively with staff to foster a supportive, inclusive, and enriching environment for all students.</p>
<p>Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience and in accordance with the Tasmanian Catholic Education Single Enterprise Agreement 2024.</p>
<p><strong>About You</strong></p>
<p>As an experienced educational leader, with a passion for Catholic education, coupled with your outstanding communication and organisational skills, you will have:</p>
<ul>
<li>Proven leadership experience in an educational setting, ideally within senior school environments.</li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to inspire, support, and motivate staff and students to achieve their best.</li>
<li>Sound knowledge of the Australian Curriculum and Tasmanian Assessment, Standards, and Certification (TASC) requirements.</li>
<li>Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage with students, staff, and the broader community.</li>
<li>Ability to develop and implement effective pastoral care programs that support student wellbeing and growth.</li>
<li>A student-centred approach with a focus on academic excellence, personal responsibility, and leadership development.</li>
<li>Capacity to manage and oversee all aspects of school operations, including teaching, learning, administration, discipline, and co-curricular activities.</li>
<li>Collaborative and approachable leadership style, with a focus on creating a positive and inclusive school culture.</li>
<li>Understanding of the mission and ethos of St Patrick’s College as a Catholic school community.</li>
</ul>

<p>St Patrick’s is a Catholic co-educational Year 7-12 college of approximately 1,500 students with a strong academic culture that encourages individual students to develop to their full potential through a broad educational experience. The College is structured into a three-school model of learning, incorporating the Middle School (Years 7 and 8), Croagh Patrick (Year 9) and Senior School (Years 10-12).
