<p>We are seeking suitably qualified, highly motivated and dynamic Administration Officer to form part of our staff team. The successful applicant must demonstrate a commitment to Catholic Education and to the safety, wellbeing and protection of children.</p> <p><strong><u>Role Description</u></strong></p> <p>Sacred Heart School, Fitzroy is a dynamic Catholic Primary School where love, hope and welcome flourish.</p> <p>We are in search of an administration officer who can:</p> <ul> <li>Oversee and implement the eFin payroll system</li> <li>Provide informed and friendly customer service to all children and parents/carers</li> <li>Assist in the general administration of the school office</li> <li>General reception duties (phone, emails and enquiries)</li> <li>Assist in ensuring the attendance records are maintained and updated daily</li> <li>Support the Office Manager in financial management of the school where required</li> <li>Provide support and assistance to school staff and students</li> <li>Assist in the maintenance of student records and enrolments</li> <li>Attend to ill students and administer first aid as required</li> <li>Assist the Principal and Deputy in administrative matters</li> <li>Handle confidential information in an appropriate manner</li> <li>Assist in the distribution and collation of various student forms</li> <li>Assist in the organisation and purchasing of supplies for the school</li> <li>Assist in updating and maintaining school appointments/calendars</li> <li>Other duties as directed by the Principal, Deputy or Office Manager</li> </ul> <p><strong><u>Key Selection Criteria:</u></strong></p> <p>Please elaborate on your experience and strengths in the following areas:</p> <p>1. The successful applicant will have:</p> <p>a) Well-developed interpersonal skill including:</p> <ul> <li>Competent and professional telephone manner</li> <li>Ability to work as part of a team</li> <li>Ability to communicate effectively</li> </ul> <p>b) Well-developed organising, planning and co-ordinating skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and handle multiple demands effectively and efficiently</p> <p>c) Sound administrative and computing skills including the ability to:</p> <ul> <li>Operate phone systems and other computer/office equipment</li> <li>Prepare and format accurate correspondence documents</li> </ul> <p>2. The successful applicant will:</p> <ul> <li>Support the Catholic ethos of the school</li> <li>Have a demonstrated commitment to the safety and wellbeing of children</li> <li>Demonstrate the development of positive partnerships with parents and the wider community</li> </ul> <p>3. The successful candidate will have:</p> <ul> <li>Relevant tertiary qualifications</li> <li>Previous experience in an administrative role</li> <li>Strong ICT skills including demonstrated experience using digital tools</li> </ul> <p>This position will be for 21 hours per week for the duration of 2025.
