<p>The College is seeking to appoint a full time College Counsellor. The successful applicant will give expression to the College’s mission and vision by facilitating the care and support of individual students and contributing to the wellbeing and student welfare programs that give expression to the Salesian ethos.</p> <p>The Counsellor serves students, staff and families of the College to foster growth in the students’ wellbeing and overall self-esteem, individual responsibility, and in skills such as decision making, protective behaviours and social skills. They will support the philosophy of Dominic College as a Catholic school and work with teaching and non-teaching staff to be a part of a whole school approach to student wellbeing. They will promote and foster a culture whereby individual students are known, cared for and valued, and work to support students and families to make positive change in their lives.</p> <p>Dominic College is a HOME that welcomes, a PARISH that evangelises, a SCHOOL that prepares for life, and a PLAYGROUND where friends meet and enjoy themselves.
