<p><strong>Casual teachers</strong></p> <p>Join our pool of casual teachers&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>The College Community&nbsp;</strong></p> <p>Having commenced in 2017 with 86 students across Kindergarten to Year 6, St Luke’s at Marsden Park is a next generation learning community within the Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese (CSPD). As a ‘next generation Catholic Learning Community’ we are designing and establishing the ‘new normal’ for preschool to post school learning in an environment characterised by a flexible, stage based curriculum which nurtures and grows faith-filled, curious children to become creative contributors and innovative problem solvers for a changing world. In 2025 we will enrol over 1750 students from Kindergarten to Year 12 in addition to 59 children per day in our long day centre.&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Teacher Role Requirements</strong></p> <p>At St Luke’s, teachers work in a model of two teachers within a classroom, so casual teachers are expected to:&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Support the mission of Catholic education;</li> <li>Actively monitor the work of students during the lesson ensure completion&nbsp;</li> <li>Support co-teachers in the same classroom to manage low level behaviours&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p>The opportunities provided to casual teachers at St Luke’s include:&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Casual staff are welcome (but not required to join our professional learning)&nbsp;</li> <li>St Luke’s staff can support teacher accreditation processes&nbsp;</li> <li>Team teaching ensures that casuals are supported within the classroom&nbsp;</li> <li>We have a supportive and welcoming environment with great students&nbsp;</li> <li>Casuals can put preference for K-4, 5-12, 7-12 or our high needs centre&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications and accreditations:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Compliance with NSW Child Protection Legislation - Working with Children Check clearance</li> <li>Eligibility to teach in NSW according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)</li> <li>Tertiary Qualification (minimum 4-year degree,&nbsp;or 75% complete)</li> <li>Statement of Service&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Interested?</strong></p> <p>This position involves working with children.
