<p>We are currently seeking a full time Secondary Religious Education and Humanities teacher to commence 14 July 2025. Candidates must have an ability to plan, work and learn in a team environment. The emphasis of this planning is on Faith-Based Inquiry. They must also have excellent classroom management skills and a commitment to the ethos of Catholic Education and contemporary pedagogies.&nbsp;</p> <p>As a classroom teacher the successful candidate will participate in:</p> <ul> <li>Teaching the curriculum</li> <li>Curriculum development, preparation, assessment, record-keeping and reporting, including attendance at parent student teacher interviews.</li> <li>Student pastoral care and supervision.</li> <li>Contributing to the creation and maintenance of a child safe environment.</li> <li>Meetings and administration.</li> <li>Professional development.</li> <li>Co-curricular activities, excursions and camps.</li> <li>Professional collegial activities.</li> <li>Contributing to the mission of Catholic education.</li> </ul> <p>The teaching allotment will include: Year 7 Humanities x 2 classes, Years 7, 9 and 10 Religious Education and Year 7 Pastoral Care.</p> <p>Skills and experience required:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor of Education and relevant tertiary qualification.</li> <li>A strong commitment to Catholic education.</li> <li>An ability to create an engaging, educational, and challenging learning environment that caters for the needs of all students.</li> <li>An eagerness to learn.</li> <li>An enthusiasm to implement a differentiated curriculum and use modern technology to support student learning.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p>Special requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Catholic Regional College St Albans promotes the safety, well-being, and inclusion of all children; therefore, the successful applicant must demonstrate an understanding of, and commitment to providing a safe environment for young people.&nbsp;</li> <li>The successful applicant will hold Victorian Institute of Teaching registration.</li> <li>Accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic school is preferred.</li> <li>Contact details of two referees.</li> </ul> <p>Salary:</p> <ul> <li>Based on experience in accordance with the Teacher scale of the Catholic Education Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2022 (CEMEA)</li> <li>AUD78,000 - AUD 116,000</li> </ul> <p>Note: MACS is committed to the safety, wellbeing and protection of all children in our care.
