<p><strong>About the Role</strong></p> <p>Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic College (OLSH) is a three-campus school in Alice Springs, serving students from Transition to Year 12. We are currently seeking a <strong>Gardening &amp; Maintenance Officer</strong> to work primarily at our <strong>Bath Street Campus (Transition – Year 4)</strong>.</p> <p>This hands-on role is essential in maintaining a safe, clean and welcoming environment for students and staff. We operate across <strong>three campuses in Alice Springs</strong>:</p> <ul> <li><strong>Bath Street</strong> – Transition to Year 4</li> <li><strong>Traeger Campus</strong> – Years 5 to 8</li> <li><strong>Sadadeen Campus</strong> – Years 9 to 12</li> </ul> <p><i><strong>Responsibilities and Duties</strong></i></p> <ul> <li>General gardening, weeding, pick up rubbish in garden beds, prune trees</li> <li>Water pot plants in courtyards and foyers, check reticulation</li> <li>General maintenance duties, including minor painting</li> <li>Empty and Clean Bins/ replace bin liners</li> <li>Ensure verandahs, stairways and paths are clear or leaves and rubbish</li> <li>Liaise with external contractors and ensure safe work practices</li> <li>Clean drains and gutters</li> <li>Mowing</li> <li>Check and repair toilets and taps</li> <li>Mould removal and air conditioning filter cleaning</li> </ul> <p><strong>Essential Criteria</strong></p> <ul> <li>Have a commitment to uphold the Catholic School Ethos</li> <li>Be self motivated, be able to work with minimum supervision and be a good role model to others such as students</li> <li>Hold a Current Drivers Licence and a LR or the ability to acquire LR</li> <li>Maintain a current Working with Children Card (Ochre Card)</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p>
