<p>Holy Family School is seeking an enthusiastic classroom teacher. The successful applicant will have:</p> <ul> <li>a strong commitment to Catholic Education&nbsp;</li> <li>a willingness to be an effective member of Holy Family's Professional Learning Community</li> <li>accreditation to teach Religious Education or willingness to obtain accreditation</li> <li>a commitment to ongoing personal and professional development</li> <li>an ability to foster a safe and challenging learning environment that truly makes a difference to the individual</li> <li>the ability to monitor and assess learners using data to plan for future success.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Design and lead whole-school literacy initiatives aligned with the <strong>Science of Reading</strong> and <strong>synthetic phonics</strong> (e.g. <strong>PhOrMeS</strong>, <strong>UFLI</strong>).</li> <li>Embed <strong>explicit teaching routines</strong> and the <strong>Gradual Release of Responsibility</strong> model across classrooms.</li> <li>Coach and mentor teachers in high-impact instructional strategies, supporting differentiated teaching and consistent practice.</li> <li>Support the development of <strong>novel study programs</strong> that foster deep text engagement, inferential thinking, and academic language.</li> <li>Collaborate on the planning and delivery of a <strong>knowledge-rich curriculum</strong>, ensuring coherence across learning areas.</li> <li>Monitor student data to inform targeted interventions, improve learning outcomes, and guide professional learning.</li> <li>Serve as a core member of the <strong>school leadership team</strong>, contributing to whole-school improvement in curriculum, behaviour, and teaching quality.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Key Programs &amp; Frameworks:</strong></p> <ul> <li>PhOrMeS</li> <li>UFLI (University of Florida Literacy Institute)</li> <li>Science of Reading &amp; Science of Learning</li> <li>Explicit Direct Instruction (EDI)</li> <li>Knowledge-Rich Curriculum</li> <li>Novel Study Integration</li> </ul> <p>Our community is committed to the safety, wellbeing and protection of children in our care.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Special Requirements</strong></p> <ul> <li>Current VIT registration</li> <li>Religious Education Accreditation</li> <li>Knowledge of the Child Safe Standards</li> </ul> <p>Please provide 2 references to support the application:</p> <ul> <li>Current Principal/Deputy Principal/Learning and Teaching Leader</li> <li>Current/previous colleagues</li> </ul>
