This position will be on the La Valla Campus.<br><br> The ability to teach Religious Education or have the capacity to attain qualifications towards being an accredited Religious Education teacher is advantageous for this position.<br><br> All members of staff at MCCNS are called to serve the community with their giftedness. A sense of collaboration, dialogue, compassion and sincerity set a dynamic culture for educators to pursue scholastic paths for students that enable them to become the best person they can be.<br><br> The successful applicant will join the school with a focus on providing quality Catholic education, maximising student outcomes by offering a rich, relevant and holistic curriculum that is student centred, flexible and challenging.<br><br> This <strong>full-time, permanent</strong> role is scheduled to commence on<strong> Monday, 21 July 2025 (Term 3) or by negotiation.</strong> The Leader of Diverse Learning 7-12 position is a 1-point promotional role, temporary for up to 3 years, however your teaching position will be full-time and permanent.<br><br> The Leader of Diverse Learning 7-12 will have:</p> <ul> <li>a commitment to Catholic education, a clear understanding of the vision and mission of Catholic Schools and a willingness to support the faith formation of students</li> <li>exemplary classroom practice, including the application of a range of evidence-based pedagogical practices that support effective learning and, critically, student growth</li> <li>highly developed interpersonal skills reflecting an ability to effectively communicate with parents, staff and students</li> <li>an ability to work collaboratively, undertaking responsibilities leading and working with the Head of Diverse Learning K-12, Year Coordinators, the Assistant Principal (La Valla) and as required by other College Leadership Group members</li> <li>an openness with colleagues to build genuine and professional relationships and to promote shared commitment and a sense of alignment with College strategic directions and the Annual Improvement Plan.</li> </ul> <p>The Leader of Diverse Learning 7-12 will:</p> <ul> <li>have qualifications or undertake steps for qualification to teach Religious Education</li> <li>be an excellent communicator, as they will be called upon to liaise with the Leaders of Learning, Year Coordinators , and the Head of Campus</li> <li>formulate a yearly plan as well as goal setting for the Diverse Learning Directorate, work collaboratively to determine work responsibilities and tasks for the Directorate and organise accordingly</li> <li>continue to develop their leadership skills and formation with support from the College in Professional Learning and mentoring.</li> </ul> <p>You will have attained:</p> <ul> <li>a tertiary qualification in Education</li> <li>eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)</li> <li>Religious Education qualifications or the willingness to achieve them as per <a href="https://sydcatholicschools.nsw.edu.au/policies/accreditation-policy-to-work-teach-and-lead-in-sydney-catholic-schools">Accreditation Policy to Work, Teach, and Lead</a>.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Why Work for Sydney Catholic Schools</strong><br><br> In joining <a href="https://sydcatholicschools.nsw.edu.au/">Sydney Catholic Schools (SCS)</a>, you will be part of the largest Catholic education community in NSW, with a unified vision and shared resources, encompassing over 145 schools and over 74,000 students.
