Specialist Teacher- The Arts, Sustainability, Indigenous Perspectives
<p>We are seeking an energetic, dynamic and enthusiastic teacher who is passionate about The Arts, Sustainability, and Indigenous Perspectives. The ideal candidate will foster a learning environment that is engaging, inspiring, and make learning visible for every child.</p>
<p>This role offers the opportunity to work in a beautiful learning space, and includes a variety of outdoor learning spaces such as a covered deck, vegetable garden, and sensory garden.</p>
<p>The position has an allocation of 0.4 FTE, and the successful applicant will be required to work on a Tuesday and Wednesday. </p>
<p>The role will involve: </p>
<ul>
<li>the planning and implementation of the Victorian Curriculum in The Arts, Sustainability and Indigenous perspectives - your passion may drive this alongside curriculum</li>
<li>An interest in urban farming, growing, harvesting and cooking.</li>
<li>Collaboration with teachers/specialist teachers and leaders throughout the school </li>
<li>Reporting and assessment</li>
</ul>

<li>An ability to work as a part of a professional learning team with a commitment to engaging learning experiences that provide opportunity for creativity and curiosity </li>
<li>Strong communication and organisational skills </li>
<li>committed educator to lead students in rich, inquiry-based learning experiences that foster a deep sense of place, purpose, and stewardship</li>
<li>Design and deliver engaging programs that integrate local history, Indigenous perspectives, sustainability, and community engagement, supporting students to build meaningful connections with the world around them.</li>
<li>Differentiated learning for students according to their educational needs and abilities and the ability to create effective rich assessment tasks </li>
<li>Work collaboratively as part of our team to for our Art show and School Production alternate years</li>
<li>A commitment to creating an environment where the emotional, social and educational wellbeing of students is paramount</li>
<li>Encourage student voice and action through hands-on learning, excursions, outdoor exploration, and reflection</li>
<li>A willingness to build positive relationships and purposefully engage families in their child's learning</li>
<li>Support school initiatives in sustainability, environmental education, and community partnerships</li>
<li>Have knowledge or interest in Indigenous perspectives and environmental stewardship and foster understanding of local Indigenous culture, histories, and connections to Country</li>
