<p>Work Health & Safety Officer</p>
<p>Catholic Education Tasmania (CET) is a vibrant community of 38 schools and colleges, educating over 17,000 students and supported by more than 2,400 dedicated staff across Tasmania.</p>
<p>We are currently seeking a proactive and experienced Work Health & Safety Officer to join our team. Reporting to the Manager: Risk, Work Health Safety and Compliance (RWC), you will play a key role in fostering safe, compliant, and supportive learning environments that enhance student outcomes and meet legislative obligations</p>
<p>As Work Health & Safety Officer, you will:</p>
<ul>
<li>Strengthen compliance measures and improve WHS risk mitigation tools across school environments.</li>
<li>Ensure adherence to WHS legislation and CET policies.</li>
<li>Support schools in maintaining hazard/risk registers and implementing annual WHS plans.</li>
<li>Assist with incident and hazard investigations.</li>
<li>Facilitate risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.</li>
<li>Promote and support a proactive safety culture within CET.</li>
<li>Contribute to CET’s compliance with WHS and child safety legislation.</li>
</ul>
<p>Some of the skills and experiences we are looking for are:</p>
<ul>
<li>Demonstrated knowledge and experience in developing and implementing WHS strategies in a busy environment with competing demands.</li>
<li>Strong communication and training delivery skills.</li>
<li>Certificate IV or Diploma in WHS or extensive equivalent experience</li>
<li>Current Tasmanian vehicle driver licence</li>
</ul>
