About Our School

St Mary's Cathedral College is a K-12 co-educational, dual campus, College. As such, we are seeking to appoint a passionate and enthusiastic Music Administrator to join our highly successful Music Faculty. This is an ongoing, part-time position (4 days per week), commencing Monday, 12 May 2025.

About You

Working collaboratively with the Leader of Learning Music (K-12) and the Instructional Leader Music (5-8) for the College, your key responsibilities will be to:

  • provide comprehensive administrative support to the Leader of Music, Instructional Leader of Music and music teaching staff
  • manage student enrolments for music programs, instrumental lessons, and ensembles
  • coordinate schedules for rehearsals, performances, and examinations
  • maintain accurate records of student participation and progress
  • maintain music library resources, including sheet music and instruments
  • manage the inventory and maintenance of musical instruments and equipment
  • process invoices and purchase orders related to the music department
  • serve as a point of contact for student and parent inquiries regarding music programs
  • assist with the organisation and execution of school concerts and music events.

To excel in this role, you will have:

  • proven administrative experience, within an educational or arts-related setting (an advantage)
  • excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • a genuine interest in music and music education is highly desirable
  • a proactive and solution-oriented mindset
  • strong computer literacy, including proficiency in MS Office and Google suite
  • experience in school administration or a similar role (an advantage)
  • a commitment to the full life of the College and support its Catholic ethos.
