Our curriculum is designed to inspire academic achievement, personal growth, and lifelong learning.</p> <p><strong>Job Description:</strong></p> <p>We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as a Primary School Teacher Aide.</p> <p>Appropriate rigorous reference and background checking will be undertaken for all applicants, including a Working with Children Check and police record and identity check.</p> <p><strong>Skills required:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Assisting students on an individual or group basis in specific learning areas</li> <li>Assisting with the communication between students and teachers, particularly the interpretation of instructions</li> <li>Providing basic physical and emotional care for students</li> <li>Participating in team meetings</li> <li>Assisting with the supervision of pupils in playgrounds, at camps, on excursions, in sporting activities, therapy activities and life skills</li> <li>Assisting in the preparation of student resources and equipment</li> <li>Preparing basic curriculum support resources</li> <li>Setting up and putting away equipment and materials in support of teaching programs</li> <li>Observing students and draw the attention of the teacher to them where necessary</li> <li>Participating in the monitoring and evaluation of programs and evaluation of individual student involvement and achievement</li> <li>Assisting with communication between teachers, parents and students</li> </ul> <p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Proficient in spoken and written English</li> <li>Relevant tertiary qualifications</li> <li>Current Working with Children Check</li> <li>Experience with Windows software, especially Outlook, Word and Excel</li> <li>Attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines</li> <li>Ability to work independently but more importantly participate effectively as part of a team</li> <li>1 to 2 year experience in a similar role</li> </ul> <p><strong>How to Apply:</strong></p> <p>Interested applicants should submit their resume and a cover letter outlining their qualifications and relevant experience to the Principal at <a href="mailto:careers@icom.vic.edu.au?subject=Primary%20School%20Teacher%20Aide%20position%20%28via%20Teachers%20On%20Net%29">careers@icom.vic.edu.au</a>.
