<p><strong>About the Role</strong><br>
The School Counsellor will play a vital role in supporting the wellbeing and engagement of our students. Working closely with the Deputy Principal Student Wellbeing, the Leadership Team, and House Coordinators, the Counsellor will provide confidential support, guidance, and intervention services. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of young people within a faith-driven, inclusive community.</p>
<p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Provide individual and group counselling to students.</li>
<li>Support students in building social connections, self-efficacy, and resilience.</li>
<li>Collaborate with staff, families, and external agencies to ensure a holistic approach to student wellbeing.</li>
<li>Deliver engagement programs supporting our CALD community.</li>
<li>Assist in the development and implementation of Positive Behaviours for Learning.</li>
<li>Attend Program Support Group meetings and contribute to case management.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Skills and Attributes</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills.</li>
<li>Strong ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.</li>
<li>Commitment to child safety and a thorough understanding of child protection policies.</li>
<li>Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and manage sensitive information appropriately.</li>
<li>A positive, proactive, and empathetic approach to supporting students.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Qualifications and Requirements</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Relevant qualification in Counselling, Psychology, Social Work, or related field.</li>
<li>Experience administering psychological assessments (for qualified Psychologists only).</li>
</ul>
<p>Part-time and full-time hours are negotiable for the ideal candidate</p>
