<p>GENERAL ASSISTANT - GROUNDS MAINTENANCE</p> <p><i>3 days - 6 hrs per day&nbsp;(18 hrs per week)</i><br> &nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities include:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Maintain cleanliness of college grounds and outdoor facilities - picking up rubbish, sweeping, raking, blowing leaves&nbsp;</li> <li>Meet deliveries and distribute parcels, boxes and incoming supplies to the relevant locations</li> <li>Set up for college assemblies, functions and other activities</li> <li>General cleaning and washing down of facilities</li> <li>Collect, empty and clean bins</li> <li>General gardening &amp; weeding</li> <li>Minor repairs and maintenance</li> <li>Liaise with contractors and ensure safe work practices</li> <li>Participate in team and staff meetings and College events when requested</li> <li>Any other duties as determined by the Business Manager</li> </ul> <p><strong>Essential Criteria</strong></p> <p>Successful applicants for the position will:</p> <ul> <li>maintain a current Working with Children Check.</li> <li>hold a current drivers' licence.</li> <li>demonstrate initiative and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.</li> <li>have demonstrated ability to follow directions, prioritise and meet set deadlines.</li> <li>have basic computer skills including internet, email &amp; smartphone.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Desirable:</strong></p> <ul> <li>relevant certificate or trade qualifications.</li> <li>appropriate demonstrated experience in school operations.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p>Applications are invited from interested candidates able to demonstrate a commitment to the vision of Catholic Education.<br> The successful candidate may be subject to pre-employment medical assessments.&nbsp;</p>
