<p><strong><u>Commitment to Child Safety</u></strong></p> <p>At St Catherine of Siena we are dedicated to implementing the Vision for Instruction in a positive learning environment that seeks to maintain a child safe environment where the wellbeing of all children in our care is our first priority.</p> <p><strong><u>Commitment to Staff</u></strong></p> <p>Our aim is to develop a highly professional staff group in which all staff are valued for their experience, skills and continue pursuit of knowledge to create an energetic, high achieving learning &amp; teaching environment that both staff and students want to engage with every day.&nbsp;</p> <p><strong><u>Position</u></strong></p> <p>The successful applicant must:</p> <ul> <li>be committed to the Catholic ethos of the school and to the spiritual, emotional, social and educational wellbeing of all students</li> <li>have exemplary learning and teaching skills that engage students in a rich learning environment and a desire to share this knowledge in a professional, collaborative and collegial way with their team</li> <li>have strong interpersonal and communication skills with the capacity to continue to build strong relationships with students, staff and parents</li> <li>enjoy working with students from a diverse range of cultures and have knowledge of EAL best practise</li> <li>value and consistently use assessment strategies in the development and implementation of their teaching program.&nbsp;</li> <li>be responsive to the MACS’ preferred system-wide approach (Vision for Instruction) to achieving teaching and learning excellence.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong><u>Special Requirements</u></strong></p> <p>The successful applicant needs to:</p> <ul> <li>be eager to embrace the Catholic ethos of our school</li> <li>be accredited to teach Religious Education in a Catholic school or agree to achieve this within the next few years</li> <li>be committed to child safety, to maintaining best practices to ensure this and to ongoing evaluation of these practices</li> <li>have read and be committed to maintaining Child Safety Standards.</li> <li>hold VIT registration</li> </ul>
