<p><strong>About the Role </strong></p>
<p>Rosebank College, seeks applications for the Audit, Risk and Reporting Officer (ARRO) position to join the Rosebank Community in a permanent full-time position, commencing as soon as possible.</p>
<p>The ARRO is responsible for supporting the audit and risk capability function on behalf of the College, delivering professional value in risk management, audit, advisory, investigation, and corruption prevention services to improve the efficiency, economy, and effectiveness of the College’s operations, its system of internal and external quality control, and ethical culture.</p>
<p>This role champions the College's strategy on audit, risk, child safeguarding, WHS, overall governance management, and compliance obligations. The position is pivotal in supporting the enterprise-wide risk and governance management services for the College, including integral support to the College’s WHS agenda.</p>
<p>The ARRO effectively supports the College’s risk management framework, which is designed to support decision-making by aligning it with strategic goals and ensuring overall compliance with relevant policies and statutory requirements.</p>
<p>The ARRO provides operational support and timely advice to the College Principal, Assistant Principal, Leadership Team, the Audit and Risk Committee (ARC) on issues involving audit, risk, compliance management, WHS, Child Safeguarding Obligations, and relevant controls.</p>
<p>The ARRO reports directly to the Assistant Principal and collaborates with the College Leadership Team, the Audit and Risk Committee, the College Board, the Child Safeguarding Committee, WHS, and other committees.</p>
<p>This position must provide and keep up to date on advice on any legal, regulatory, or compliance frameworks that may apply to the College and its overall operations, and advise the College Leadership Team accordingly.</p>
<p>This role is critical to the various committees for WHS, Risk and Compliance Committees, and Good Samaritan Education networks, including, but not limited to, the Work Health and Safety Committee and the Child Safeguarding Committee.</p>
<p>The successful candidate is committed to delivering exceptional risk management and engagement, bringing others on the journey as the function matures. The ideal candidate brings both an operational and strategic style that supports delivery, deep knowledge and the ability to explain the technical in simple terms. </p>

<p>To be considered for this position, you must meet the criteria below. </p>
<ul>
<li>Tertiary Qualifications in either of the following disciplines: Law, Human Resources, WHS, Risk Management, and/or Internal Audit</li>
<li>Experience supporting and managing risk, control, and compliance</li>
<li>Experience in developing and managing policies</li>
<li>Proven experience in a similar role</li>
<li>Proven risk consulting experience; strategic risk management practice, audit control testing </li>
<li>An understanding of relevant legislation. </li>
<li>Strategic thinker with the ability to apply strategy to operational solutions</li>
<li>Proven experience in implementing an enterprise risk and compliance management framework in a complex and diverse environment </li>
<li>Ability to communicate, present, and work clearly and effectively with the College Board through regular reporting processes</li>
<li>Exceptional relationship-building skills and ability to liaise with a wide range of stakeholders at all levels</li>
<li>Proven ability to exercise initiative, work autonomously, be organised, flexible, and prioritise workload individually and as a member of a team </li>
<li>Demonstrated a high level of computer literacy, including exposure to computer-based compliance software systems</li>
<li>Ability to demonstrate a strong commitment to the Good Samaritan Benedictine values and ethos of the College</li>
<li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills</li>
<li>Possess a valid Working with Children Check (or be willing to obtain one)</li>
<li>A commitment to the child safeguarding principles</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Desirable:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Knowledge of compliance obligations within the Education sector or a similar environment</li>
<li>Experience with both internal/external audits (highly desirable).</li>
</ul>
