The Anglican Schools Corporation is seeking to appoint a senior finance executive to lead strategic financial operations across the organisation.

<p>The Anglican Schools Corporation (TASC) is entering an exciting new phase of growth, resulting in the re-shaping of its executive team. TASC currently comprises 18 schools within the Sydney Diocese and in Western NSW. Each school values its independence while acting with interdependence within TASC. The Anglican Schools Corporation provides schooling for students across both low fee and higher fee schools, with a dedicated commitment to high quality Christian education. The role of Chief Financial Officer has been re-shaped to reflect the experience and knowledge required at an executive leadership level to optimise the financial sustainability of the Corporation and the schools. The CFO will work closely with the principals, business managers, executive teams and school councils of the Corporation schools, providing advice in the key areas of financial strategy and stewardship.<br /> <br />Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the CFO will be adept at discerning the individual context of each school in the Corporation, and support the key stakeholders in all aspects of Financial management. The CFO needs to have the ability to actively communicate and work collaboratively with the wider teams in the Corporation to be able to balance the school’s needs within an understanding of the Corporation as a whole. Working in close partnership with Principals, Business Managers, the Board, auditors, and the Executive team, the CFO will support the mission of TASC through sound financial stewardship and visionary leadership.</p><p><br />The successful candidate will be able to: </p><ul><li>Lead the Corporation’s financial planning and budget oversight across a significant portfolio</li><li>Manage treasury operations, including loan facilities, banking relationships, and investments</li><li>Guide policy development and ensure compliance with financial regulations and Co-operative Multi-Enterprise Agreements (CMEAs)</li><li>Oversee internal and external audits, and provide strategic reporting to the Board and Finance & Audit Committee</li><li>Coordinate implementation of financial systems including a new general ledger and automation tools</li><li>Support Business Managers in developing school-based capital and operational plans aligned with 10–20 year strategic goals</li><li>Promote financial transparency, sustainability, and continuous improvement across all sites</li></ul><p>The successful candidate will be:</p><ul><li>A CPA or equivalent-qualified financial leader with significant senior experience</li><li>Skilled in treasury, risk, compliance, and stakeholder management across multi-site organisations</li><li>Strategically minded, with excellent communication skills and Board-level presentation experience</li><li>A practising Christian, deeply aligned with the Christian mission of the Corporation </li><li>Experienced in the education or not-for-profit sector (desirable)</li></ul>
