Year Level/Subject: Primary At Holy Name Primary School we aim to develop students who take ownership of their learning through the opportunities and support that we provide. We are a diverse community, where the individual is respected.

<p>Holy Name Primary School, Reservoir, is seeking a passionate and committed P.E. teacher (0.6 FTE) to teach Years Prep-6, and inspire children to explore a variety of sports and develop their skills.</p><p>The role is currently a fixed term position covering three days in the week (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday). Ideally the successful applicant would be in a position to begin mid Term 2, however we are willing to negotiate a start date. While initially a fixed term position, there is a possibility of continuing in an ongoing capacity beyond 2025. Part of this time allocation also involves releasing classroom teachers outside of the regular specialist time. Qualifications and/or experience in the field of Physical Education is desirable, however not essential. </p><p>As a new member of our dynamic specialist team, we ask that the applicant is able to:</p><ul><li>Engage and support student learning in the area of Physical Education</li><li>Engage students with high needs in the specialist program.</li><li>Demonstrate classroom management strategies.</li><li>Display a strong work ethic and possess strong communication skills.</li><li>Liaise with external sporting providers e.g AFL Victoria, Hockey Australia, Netball Australia to provide clinics</li><li>work with Sporting Schools grants to bring in a variety of sports and expert coaches for the students</li><li>Show a willingness to work collaboratively with others on staff.</li><li>Teach and assess the P.E and Health program according to the Victorian Curriculum.</li><li>Promote Physical Education in the school and to the wider community.</li><li>Demonstrate a strong commitment to the philosophy of Catholic education.</li><li>Be committed to the safety, wellbeing and protection of all children in their care.</li></ul><p> </p><p>All Applicants must have:</p><p>Have a registration to teach with the Victorian Institute of Teaching.</p><p>Be accredited to teach Religious Education in a Catholic School, or be prepared to gain accreditation should the position become permanent.</p><p>An understanding of Child Safety Standards and adhere to the Holy Name Code of Conduct and Child Safety and Wellbeing Policy.</p><p> </p>
