<p><strong>1.0 FTE English Teacher (Specialist)</strong></p><p><strong>Full-Time, Permanent</strong></p><p><strong>Start date: Term 3, 2025 (21 July)</strong></p><p><strong>Closing date: 28 April 2025</strong><br /> </p><p>MLC School is looking for a passionate and dedicated <strong>English Teacher</strong> who will <strong>educate and inspire</strong> young women to be <strong>fearless thinkers</strong> with <strong>moral courage</strong> and <strong>compassion</strong> to be <strong>agents of change</strong> in their own lives and in the lives of <strong>others</strong>. As an English Subject specialist, the role will involve focusing on improving results in Senior English (HSC/IB), completing special projects (such as supporting high potential learners/diverse learners, assisting classroom teachers with formative/summative assessement marking, programming and support for implementation of new Stage 6 English syllabus) and teaching Senior English classes. This role is ideally suited to a highly experienced Senior English teacher with substantial ongoing experience teaching all levels of HSC English and IB English Literature HL/SL.<br /> </p><p><strong>About MLC School</strong></p><p>Founded in 1886, MLC School is an independent, nonselective Uniting Church school for girls from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 12 in Sydney’s inner-west. A wide selection of subject choices, as well as an extensive co-curricular program, aims to empower girls to be self-reliant and play an active role in their futures.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>About the position</strong></p><p>MLC School Teachers are responsible for designing and delivering innovative teaching programs aligned to the MLC School Learning and Teaching Framework, policies and practices of MLC School.
